Production Management System
Developed an application to better control and schedule production, which includes job costing, enabling efficient management for the production of food items like soy sauce and cooking oil for a major Japanese food manufacturing company. Created using a DB2/400 database, the system generates production orders and schedules all manufacturing according to the customers' delivery dates and available capacity. Making automatic deductions from stock, it calculates unit cost based on the current cost of materials used. The system also has an inventory control for both raw materials and finished products. It also handles all aspects of sales and purchases, producing the relevant documents like purchase orders, sales order confirmations, picking and packing lists, delivery notes and invoices.
